Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Candey Thornbury Clinical Social Work (“we,” “our,” or “the practice”) collects and uses information when you visit ctcsw.com(the “Site”). This policy applies only to the Site. It does not describe how we handle protected health information (PHI) for clients in care — that is covered by a separate Notice of Privacy Practices provided at intake.
Important: Do Not Send Clinical Information
This website is not a secure channel for transmitting protected health information. Please do not include clinical details, diagnoses, treatment history, or other sensitive health information in the contact form or in any email sent through the Site. Current clients should use the secure client portal provided during intake for any clinical communication.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
Information you provide
When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, and message you provide. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs for each request, which may include IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamp. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and preventing abuse. They are retained for a short period (typically 30 days) and are not used to build profiles about you.
We do not currently use analytics services, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. The Site sets only the minimum cookies required for basic functionality. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and a cookie notice will be added.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site (via standard server logs).
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Service Providers
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the Site. Each receives only the information needed to perform their function:
- Vercel— website hosting and server logs.
- Resend— delivery of emails generated by the contact form.
- Google Workspace— receives and stores emails sent to the practice.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions arrive as email and are retained in our inbox in line with normal business practice. Server logs are retained by the hosting provider on a short rolling window. If you’d like your inquiry or related information removed, contact us at the address below.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the personal information we hold about you, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use, and the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither). To exercise any of these rights, email candey@ctcsw.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information submitted through the Site, including HTTPS encryption in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was most recently revised.
